The graceful Acer palmatum ‘Viridis’ is a beautiful weeping Japanese maple, with finely dissected, soft green foliage that cascades
Its fine leaves turn brilliant shades of golden yellow and orange in autumn before falling to reveal its sculptural branch form.
Very slow-growing, it can eventually reach around 2–3 metres high and 3–4 metres wide if planted in the ground, developing a beautiful, spreading canopy over time. Smaller in a pot and can be easily trimmed if you need a smaller version.
Best grown in a position protected from harsh afternoon sun and strong winds.
Shown in the The large Københavner Pot
