Origin: Native to Mexico, I'm known for my distinctive, swollen trunk and long, cascading leaves resembling a ponytail.
Light: Provide bright, indirect light. I thrive in full sunlight but can tolerate lower light conditions.
Temperature: Keep me in a warm environment, ideally between 65°F to 80°F. I can tolerate slightly cooler temperatures down to 50°F, but protect me from frost and freezing conditions.
Watering: Allow my soil to dry out completely between waterings. I'm drought-tolerant and prefer infrequent watering. Water me thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry, and ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.
Soil: Plant me in well-draining soil. A mixture of cactus or succulent potting mix with added perlite or sand works well to provide excellent drainage.
Pests/Diseases: I'm relatively pest and disease-resistant. However, watch out for pests like spider mites or scale insects. Treat any infestations promptly with insecticidal soap.
