Origin: Native to Central and South America, known for my heart-shaped leaves and vining growth habit.
Light: Provide bright, indirect light. I thrive in filtered sunlight but can tolerate low light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch my leaves.
Temperature: Keep me warm please! I'm sensitive to cold temperatures and drafts, so protect me from chilly conditions.
Humidity: I appreciate moderate to high humidity levels. Mist my leaves occasionally or place me near a humidifier to maintain humidity, especially indoors.
Watering: Allow my soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Water me thoroughly when the top few inches of soil feels dry, but avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.
Soil: Plant me in a well-draining, peat-based potting mix.
Fertilization: Feed me with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in fall and winter.
Propagation: I can be propagated very easily from stem cuttings. Take a cutting with at least one node, place it in water or moist potting mix, and roots will develop within a few weeks.
Pests/Diseases: Watch out for pests like aphids, spider mites, and mealybugs. Treat any infestations promptly with insecticidal soap. Ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal diseases.
