Introducing Peperomia prostrata, commonly known as String of Turtles, a charming houseplant that brings a touch of nature indoors! This unique trailing plant features small, round leaves adorned with striking turtle shell patterns, making it a standout choice for any plant lover. Easy to care for, String of Turtles thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers to dry out between waterings, making it perfect for busy lifestyles. Ideal for hanging baskets or as a delightful addition to your shelf, Peperomia prostrata is both beautiful and resilient.

Origin: Native to South America, I'm prized for my trailing, turtle-patterned leaves.

Light: Provide bright, indirect light. I thrive in filtered sunlight or partial shade.

Temperature: Keep me warm and humid please! I'm sensitive to cold temperatures, so protect me from drafts and frost.

Humidity: I appreciate moderate to high humidity levels.

Watering: Allow my soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Water me thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry, but avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.

Soil: Plant me in well-draining, aerated soil.

Fertilization: Feed me with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Avoid fertilizing in winter when growth slows.

Pruning: Trim any leggy or overgrown stems to maintain my shape and encourage bushier growth. You can also remove any dead or yellowing leaves to keep me looking neat.

Propagation: I can be propagated from stem cuttings. Take a cutting from a healthy stem and pop it in some water. Roots will develop within a few weeks.

Pests/Diseases: I'm relatively pest and disease-resistant, but watch out for pests like aphids or spider mites. Treat any infestations promptly with insecticidal soap.
