Colocasia: Coffee Cups

Spectacular deep olive foliage with mocha veins and stems.

The cupped foliage will collect rainwater until there is enough water to bend the stem and pour the water out.

A relatively recent variety of Taro, grown for its spectacular and dramatic foliage. It is a fast grower, and can reach 1-2m in height and width.

Suitable for indoors or outdoors

Likes sun to part-shade, and protection from the wind. Plant in rich, moist soil. Taro is happy to be planted in up to 15cm of standing water. But if that doesn’t suit you- just water regularly, and fertilise over spring-summer to encourage growth.
