Origin: Native to arid regions of the Americas, I thrive in hot and dry climates.
Light: Give me plenty of sunlight! I love basking in full sun, but I can tolerate partial shade, especially in hotter climates.
Temperature: I'm not a fan of frost, so protect me from freezing temperatures.
Watering: I'm drought-tolerant, so let my soil dry out completely between waterings.
Soil: Well-draining soil is a must! Plant me in sandy or gravelly soil mix to ensure good drainage and prevent waterlogged roots.
Fertilization: I don't need much food. A slow-release fertilizer in spring or a diluted liquid fertilizer every few months during the growing season will do.
Propagation: I produce "pups," that can be removed and replanted to grow new plants.
Pests/Diseases: I'm quite resilient, but keep an eye out for pests like aphids or scale insects. Treat any infestations promptly with insecticidal soap.
