Origin: A hybrid variety of Alocasia, I'm native to tropical and subtropical Asia to Eastern Australia.
Light: Provide bright, indirect light. I thrive in filtered sunlight or partial shade, but avoid direct sun, which can scorch my leaves.
Humidity: I love humidity! Aim for high humidity levels by misting my leaves regularly, placing me near a humidifier, or grouping me with other plants.
Watering: Keep my soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Water me when the top inch of soil feels dry, and ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.
Soil: Plant me in a well-draining, peat-based potting mix.
Fertilization: Feed me with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in fall and winter when growth slows.
Propagation: I can be propagated from rhizome divisions. Carefully separate a healthy rhizome with roots attached and plant it in a separate pot with well-draining soil.
Pests/Diseases: Watch out for pests like aphids, mealybugs, and spider mites. Treat any infestations promptly with insecticidal soap.
