Origin: Native to Mexico, I'm known for my striking blue-green colour and upright growth habit.
Light: I thrive in bright, direct sunlight. Place me in the sunniest spot you have, like a south-facing window or outdoors during the warmer months.
Temperature: Keep me warm please! I can tolerate cooler temperatures but please protect me from frost and extreme cold.
Watering: Let my soil dry out completely between waterings. Because I am in a pot with no drainage, try to get my watering just right- not too much so the water pools at the bottom! In winter, water me more sparingly, as I need less moisture when I'm dormant.
Fertilisation: Feed me with a cactus fertiliser diluted to half strength once a month during the growing season. No need to fertilise in winter.
Pests/Diseases: I'm relatively pest-resistant, but watch out for mealybugs and spider mites. Treat any infestations promptly with insecticidal soap or by wiping with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
